Site Remediation & Landfill Capping / Arcadis (Vicksburg, MS / June 2010): 2.3 million

Arcadis Engineering awarded LI the aforementioned project for the installation of two landfill caps including site health and safety plans, at the former Vicksburg Chemical Company site which covered over 20 acres; 18 were clay capped and 2 were HDPE liner capping. Summary of work included: Field Engineering, Public Relations, QC Planning, Lab Services, Geosynthetic Liner, Soil & Aggregate Materials, Excavating / Backfilling / Grading, Stone Surfacing & Erosion Control.

Remediation of Lighthouse Road / Dow Chemical (Plaquemine, La. / May 2007): 1.4 million

The Dow Plant discovered a large area on-site that contained contaminated materials where a total of 3 acres would have to be remediated. Lemoine was awarded the work that at the end of the project a total of 70K cubic yards of earth was excavated, stabilized on site, and transported to a Class II landfill.

Landfill Expansion / Environmental Operators (Venice, La. / Feb 2008): 750K

Environmental Operators is responsible for maintaining the Landfill for the City of Venice, La. Due to the recent influx of debris from Katrina, the Landfill needed to be expanded. LI was contracted to completed the last 130’ expansion of the west side of Cell 3, and 265’ expansion of the west side of Cell 4. The work included Project Layout, Muck excavation and dewatering, Installation and Completion of 2’ compacted clay liner, Geocomposite Drainage Net for cell expansion, Leachate collection system, and 2’ sand layer.
