Batture Degrading / Dow Chemical (St. Charles, LA) Feb 2009 / 400K
The project involved the removal of approximately 40,000 CY of excess batture material within the Dow - St. Charles property behind their Dock 2/3 Facility to achieve an acceptable factor of safety for levee slope stability. The project encompassed cradle to grave services, including the necessary agency permitting, mitigation, excavating the material, hauling the material, and placement of the material at a designated location within the Dow facility.

Belle River Complex / Shaw Environmental (Morgan City, LA) Dec 2009 / 800K
This work encompassed a number of entities involvement due to the “wetlands” determination for the property. As the GC, Lemoine was asked to submit delineation request to the Corps of Engineers and in the end, approval to proceed was granted. The project required mucking & grubbing a 6 acre site that would be utilized as the City’s newest public park and walking track. Due to the type material on site (swamp mud), extraordinary effort was required in order to ensure the sites foundation was up to standards set forth by the Shaw Group.

Dipple Canal / The City of St. Francisville, LA April 2010 / 400K
Job was for major drainage improvements along Hwy 61. A new subdivision was experiencing erosion and flooding issues due to the existing configuration of a canal that was originally thought to provide drainage for the area. Project involved clearing & grubbing, pond excavation, erosion control, Hydroseeding and placing of 30lb Rip Rap along the drainage canal in order to redirect the flow of runoff.
